Preliminary Analysis

This important step is carried out at the CCI Laboratory, for which a nominal fee is charged. This step requires our immediate attention and will produce a written diagnostic report for your review. Highlights of the report - all items listed will be provided (if available):

Upon your acceptance of the price quotation, we proceed rapidly on to recover your data.

Step 2.

Secondary Analysis (Optional)

A secondary analysis will be performed only at the special request of the client when it is critical to determine whether specific files are on the tape before proceeding with the actual recovery. The secondary analysis provides the client with a directory listing of files on the tape (including dates and times if possible).

Data Reconstruction and Extraction

The recovery process includes the reconstruction and extraction of data from your media. Depending on the results of the evaluation, we may have to develop custom recovery software to support your particular backup software. We then run our proprietary software to recreate a directory of the information on your tape(s) prior to preparing the data for extraction. During this stage, you will be kept up to date on the progress being made. We know that this is an anxious time for you, and your project is our priority.

Finally, we extract, manipulate, and reconstruct the data and return it to you on your choice of media.
