Computer Conversions provides highly reliable and professional testing for tape media, tape drives and tape backup software developers and manufacturers. Since we do not sell tape backup hardware or software, we can retain our independent and unbiased status with no conflicts of interest.

Computer Conversions was founded in 1981 as a data conversion service bureau. We rapidly became the leader in transferring data and word processing files from one format to another. CCI incorporated in 1984.

In 1988, Computer Conversions began offering data recovery services for 9-track magnetic tapes. Since then, we have added over 500 tape and cartridge backup formats and software versions to our recovery and conversion library.

Today, Computer Conversions' primary business is recovering data from damaged or overwritten media. We save clients time and money by retrieving information thought to be permanently lost from their backup tapes. We also provide transfers between older and newer tape formats when equipment is lost, inoperable, or upgraded.
